Start your engines - and get ready for an exciting and thrilling time at HLC’s Mario Kart Conversations Camp! Join a HLC speech-language pathologist and video game enthusiast, for our NEW MarioKart Conversations - Social Language Camp! At this camp, campers will have opportunities to play Mario Kart together on the Nintendo Switch. Campers will have opportunities to race together as a team or head-to-head, and every race track comes with a unique conversation topic that will provide all campers with an opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions with fellow campers in a structured and positive environment.

HLC’s Summer Lego Camp is a 4-day social language & occupational therapy camp. Kids get to build their favorite Lego sets and flex their imaginative building skills alongside friends!

Picky and limited eating skills can greatly impact our day to day life. If your child has difficulty exploring and trying new foods, cooking camp is perfect for them! Kids will enjoy food exploration with peers using cooking and food play with a variety of provided foods.

COOKING CAMP REGISTRATION IS CLOSED DUE TO MEETING CAPACITY

Join us for this NEW camp this summer where we will be learning about community outings and how to self-advocate and participate across a variety of community settings! We will learn how to plan for recipes, go out to a restaurant for a meal, take a trip to the grocery store, and more. Speaking, minimally speaking, and non speaking communicators are welcome! We will do one day a week doing prep sessions in the clinic and one session per week out in the community. Extra fees for outings may apply.

Splash camp is offered through HLC and takes place at Goldfish Swim School in Algonquin. Kids will learn motor planning and social skills from a physical therapist and speech language pathologist through songs, games, and social interactions with peers while having a splashing good time!

Little Listeners is a summer camp for families who have children who are deaf/hard of hearing! Two dedicated Speech Language Pathologists with a niche interest in auditory habilitation will work together to provide a unique opportunity to help families foster listening and language skills through play. Listening and spoken language strategies and techniques will be utilized. Enroll your child today in a camp designed to empower every little listener and their family!

This preschool camp will target a variety of receptive and expressive language skills as well as social interactions. Thematic sessions will include books, music, and structured play activities to promote speech and language skills in an engaging and fun environment.

Unlock your child’s potential for improved reading comprehension skills! Comprehension Champs Level 1 (grades 1-2) and Comprehension Champs Level 2 (grades 3-5) Summer Camp at HLC Therapy Group will target critical skills to aid in the transfer of visualizing as you speak to visualizing as you listen and read. This summer camp is inspired by The Nancibell® Visualizing and Verbalizing® Language Comprehension and Thinking program which teaches specific strategies to improve comprehension. Watch your child’s skills soar as they embrace the power of visualization and verbalization through a fun and unique summer program!

Join us for bike riding camp this summer! We will learn about bike safety along with the basics of bike riding. All activities will be focused on learning the different parts of the bike, bike safety, and ability to make the bike stop. The camp will include various activities that target skills such as balance and coordination required to successfully ride a bike. Bike riding can be a challenging skill for many kiddos so join as we make it a fun and positive experience! The last day of camp will include a bike parade to celebrate the hard work of your biker!

Please join us this summer with your toddler to explore our sensory world under the guidance of an occupational therapist and speech language pathologist! Social skills and sensory exploration will be the primary goals of this camp with sessions being held both indoors and outside. Parent and/or caregivers are required to participate.
